After high school, he furthered his education in General Music at the University of Education, Winneba, and came out with flying colors with BMus (First Class).
Ohene Music as he is currently known has always loved music since childhood. After his O’levels, Nana Fynn, a popular musician from Ghana saw the potential in him and decided to teach him how to play the piano. He studied music privately under Nana Fynn until after his Advanced levels when he decided to study it academically in the University. After University, he took up jobs working in recording studios in Ghana and directing Church Choirs.
Since then, he released his mastered and official single debut titled “Wasei Me” which when translated, literally means You’ve Messed Me Up or You’ve Spoilt Me. Produced by himself. That wasn’t the end. He went ahead to release “Bra Begye” feat Yaa Pono in July 2020 and “WEDDING DAY” featuring Flowking Stone released in October 2020 with both songs having a video on YouTube and he is currently working on his Extended Play (EP).
Professionally, Ohene mostly does highlife music. This is the music that is identified with by his country Ghana. It uses the melodic and main rhythmic structures of traditional Akan music and Kpanlogo Music of the Ga people but is played with Western instruments. Highlife is characterized by jazzy horns and multiple guitars which lead the band. Recently it has acquired an uptempo, synth-driven sound.
Ohene Music loves doing music cos he knows within him that is his passion. It is what makes him happy and it is the best way he can simply express himself and send his message across to the world. With his knowledge, skill, and expertise, Ohene Adu-Nti can boast of working as a Music Director for the Tema Youth Choir, he worked as Sound Engineer and Music producer at Dan Bassey Studios and finally as Artist and Repertoire Manager at One Mic Entertainment belonging to the one and only rap doctor, Okyeame Kwame.
He looks up to the greats legends in the Ghanaian highlife music industry like the late C. K Mann, Paapa Yankson, Amakye Dede, and Pat Thomas, who made highlife music known to the world. He believes real highlife music has been on the decline with the emergence of different genres of music in the Ghanaian music industry and hopes to work hard enough to make the Ghanaian people love their highlife music once again and to sell his music to the world. Due to his contributions to Choral music in Ghana as a composer, he is due to receive an award coming months.
In his spare time, Ohene enjoys watching movies, graphic designing and loves to spend time with his 3 lovely daughters and his beautiful wife Afua who supports him in everything and above all his number one.
